Around 224 flat owners of Lifestyle Township in Wadi area are facing problems due to the blunders between city survey department and builders.
The builders have constructed a multi-story building in the village area situated in the outskirts of Nagpur and have been selling the flats on the basis of 7*12 extract.
The builders started the construction in 2013 on a Non-Agricultural land and completed the work in 2016 after which the authorities started giving the possession of the flats to the concerned owners.
In 2010 it was noted that when the builder registered non-agriculture plot he had to take the property-card under his name. On this issue, the flat owners alleged that K.K Associates have violated rule while constructing the township. On the other hand, when the flat owners approached the concerned tehsildar, where the owners were informed that the flats cannot be transferred to them on the basis on 7*12 extract only, they should have the property cards to get the flat transferred under their name.
At present, the flat owners have sale deed but no property cards have been issued to them due to which the flats are yet to be transferred under their names.
The matter was then taken to the District Collector by the flat owners. The collector accepted the fact that the builder’s actions were illegal and has ordered the rural tehsildar to conduct an enquiry on this case.
