Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis who has launched his +mahajanadesh yatra+ , seeking another term for the BJP led government in the State, today claimed that the Congress-NCP led oppostion will be wiped out during the forthcoming State Assembly elections in winter.
The tremendous response from the public to the yatra is nothing but an acknowledgment of his good governance, Fadanvis said at a press conference in Wardha before embarking on his second day yatra. He said the opposition was crying for EVMs and how can they say when Congress-NCP ruled the State for years after winning the elections through EVMs.
Fadanvis said EVMs are not new in the system, Congress and others ruled 10 years in State and nation after winning election via EVMs be it Assembly, General or ZP polls. On the electoral alliance with Shiv Sena, he said if they reached a pact, it is the give and take situations always and beneficial to both parties.
Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule was also present. Fadanvis after the flag off on Thursday at Mozri near Amravati by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reached Wardha via Arvi and other place. Today morning he resumed his Yatra from Wardha and arrived in Nagpur city for a rousing welcome.
All through the route Fadanvis was welcomed by a enthusiastic crowd all the way from entry point in city at Chinchbhawan. At some places, the party workers dared drizzle though rain God was kind enough to spare city from showers today.
Fadanvis proceeded to Katol and Saoner and will return tonight. He will resume tomorrow morning to go to Kamptee and Moudoa towards Bhandara and Gondia.
