Centre Point School Dabha and BVM Trimurti Nagar boys emerged winners in the high school and primary sections respectively in LG Somalwar Memorial Team Chess Championship that was organised by Somalwar Education Academy at Annasahib Somalwar Sabhagruh, here on Friday.
In primary categpry Centre Point School Dabha team comprising Sharayu Divecha, Aarav Bhartia, Shreerma Bajaj and Ram Kapse triumphed with 22.5 points. Narayana Vidyalayam followed then with 18 points for second place. The team was represented by Arnav Shende, Soham Ranade, Shaunak Badole and Arav Moon. BVM Civil Lines finished third with 18 Â points. The team members were Jayesh Sure, Aadyadai Shekhar, Siddhesh Band and Mohnish Wairagade.

The team was represented by Spandan Seth, Khamele Ojas, Prerak Darvekar and Kalbande Vedant. Narayana Vidyalayam team comprising Dishank Bajaj, Ansh Dhanvij, Aditya Bodkhe and Nilay Kulkarni finished runners-up with 19.5 points. Delhi Public School, Kamptee ‘A’ secured 19.5 points and achieved third place. The team members were  Oojasv Goswami , Dhongade Tanish, Bahadure Shreyas and Aman Shrivastava.
Senior sports reporter Suhas Nayse was the chief guest of the prize distribution function. President Somalwar Academy Adv. Madhukarrao Somalwar, vice-president R . Somalwar , secretary  Prakash Somalwar,  Mahesh Somalwar, CA Rohit Somalwar and  Vyankatesh Somalwar shared the dais. Principal Vivek Joshi,  Ashish Bhide welcomed the guests. Sports teacher Shashikant Chande conducted the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
