A plantation drive was scheduled by the regional forest officials and Feeding Nation which took place near Mohgaon village Tehsil Hingna (near Zilpi Lake) on Friendship Day. The group supported the cause of making a greener and healthier environment.
Feeding Nation is a group that is formed by the youth of Nagpur that works for the betterment of the society. Feeding Nation is not only about feeding empty stomachs but feeding knowledge and awareness about social problems and wants youth to join them and work for the society. Feeding Nation works on the motto of “One person cannot change the whole world but TOGETHER WE CAN..!â€
The officials of the forest department present on the day were Mr. Ranhangdale and Mr. Talmale. The drive was led by regional forest officials and core members of Feeding Nation who were Shashank Manve, Payal Borkar, and Ashwini Hedau. Over 150 saplings were planted by approx 30 volunteers of Feeding Nation. Saplings were provided by the forest department. The location was 25 km away from zero miles Nagpur i.e. Mohgaon. The plants planted were Karanji (Pongamia Oil Tree), Ghost Tree and Neem Tree. There were also other workers who helped us for the plantation and guided us throughout the program.
