Central Railway, Nagpur Division along with M/s Oravel Stays Private Limited (OYO) will be initiating a unique scheme of assisting visitors for the hotel bookings. The scheme is yet to be finalized. OYO has been assigned a contract for starting ‘Tourist Assist Both’, which will be operative 24 hours.
OYO representatives will be available for room bookings at the booth. Visitors will be able to book their favorite hotel room as soon as they reach the railway station. The scheme is designed by the Railway Board under its New Innovative Non Fare Revenue Ideas Scheme (NINFRIS). The scheme is in collusion with National Transporters and leading hotels.
As per the information received, Nagpur Division will hire 25 square feet area at Nagpur Railway Station every year through which it will get an annual income of Rs 5 lakh. OYO will be benefited by reaching out to more customers and extending its business in City.
It should be noted that Central Railway, Nagpur Division for the first time has taken an initiative and signing an agreement with OYO. Somesh Kumar, Divisional Manager of Central Railways and Krishnath Patil, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager are working on the proposal. There are eight such proposals under NINFRIS initiated by Central Railways, Nagpur Division. Assistant Commercial Manager V C Thool and Commercial Inspector Tara Prasad assisted in preparing the project in record time.
