The National Highway connecting Uppalwadi to Kamptee area is seen turning into an accident-prone zone due to damaged and slippery roads.
The highway which is just one-and-a-half-year-old has started degrading in its quality after continuous rain in the area. While the National Highway is still under progress the waste and the scattered pieces of the construction, as well as the sand from the construction site, is getting deposited on the roadside. This debris deposited on the road is creating a slippery condition for the vehicles increases the risk of accidents.
Besides this, the stretch of a kilometer has hundreds of potholes troubling the commuters in the area. In this situation driving a vehicle is next to impossible and especially driving a two-wheeler becomes a risky situation and a threat to life.
The question raises here is why the administration is neglecting the situation even after several complaints by the residents and the daily commuters.
