Maharashtra State Government has finalized to provide a training program to more than 1.5 lakh youths under Prime Minister Skill Development programs by the year 2020.
Around 60,000 youths in Maharashtra state got employment or are self-employed under Pramod Mahajan Skill and Entrepreneurship Mission.
The objective to make the state skillful is mainly focused on youth ranging from 15 to 45 years of age for employment and self-employment. The State government has selected 11 fields to achieve the above objective.
Till date, more than 10 thousand youths have been given training under this scheme. According to the sources, the Skill Development Department of the State Government has taken some crucial decisions to implement the following schemes namely Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay employment needs, Skill Development training, Start-Up, Hirkani Scheme, Strengthening IIT’s, Extending Loans to entrepreneurs, etc.
