Independent Club overcame Haidar Boys 2-1 in the ongoing Kusum Sahare Memorial Vidarbha-level Football Tournament jointly organised by Aai Kusum Sahare Foundation and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) at Reshimbagh ground, here on Friday.
Irfan Khan (5th min) and Akshay Bhandare (43rd min) scored one goal each for Independent FC. For Harihar Boys Fayyaz Ansari (50th min) found the net but that was too late.
Sangam FC defeated Baileyshop 4-3 The score was leveled (1-1) during the regulation time. After a change of ends, Nilesh Shende scored much-awaited goal for Sangar. Seven minutes later Sonu Kottulwar restored the parity through a fabulous goal.
In tie-breaker, Nikhil Mohade , Rodricks Francis and Nilesh Shendre scored the goals for Sangam FC. For Baileyshop, only Shubham Yadav and Sonu Kottulwar succeeded in scoring the goals.
In another match, Hind Khawaja Garib Nawaj blanked Eleven Boys 2-0. Mohamab Zahid (23rd min) and Mohamad Shafique (48th min) were the goal scorers.
Motibagh FC recorded 1-0 win over Shamim Traders 1-0. Abhishek Prasad 924th min) scored the winning goal for Motibagh.
Santosh Eleven defeated Sandeep Joshi FC 4-2 via tie-breaker. Both the teams scored during regulation time and as a result a tie-breaker was enforced. For Santosh XI, Swarup Shukla, Anandsagar Yerwar, Shushant Kamble and Chetan Bharat perfectly converted their opportunities. For Sandeep Joshi FC, Deepak Sharma and Manish Rai were the goal scorers.
