Union Minister for Law and Judiciary, Ravi Shankar Prasad today asserted that India will respond immediately and a befitting reply will be given if Pakistan does any misadventure in the backdrop of the scrapping of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
India was well concerned and prepared over the security of its own territory and if Pakistan carries out any terror activity, it will be given a prompt and appropriate response, Prasad told reporters.
Reiterating that abrogation of article 370 was taken in the best interest of the country and was beneficial for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said it was unfortunate that many important laws like the Prevention of Child Marriage Act were not applicable there. How can it be possible? Now the center was committed for the overall development of J & K and we are working for the people there.
The article 370 was used as a platform for the terrorists and the government has rightly removed it. Union law and justice minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday said that India was ready to give a befitting reply to Pakistan if it tried anything that will be a “threat to India’s sovereigntyâ€. He was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the 17th All India Meet of State Legal Services Authorities organized by National Legal Services Authority and Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority, here in the city.
On reviving India’s no-first-use nuclear policy, Prasad said the country was in a state of readiness to thwart any attack from the enemy. He refused to comment on Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s veiled threat of a war with India on its decision to revoke some clauses of Article 370.
“The efforts to revive militancy by the neighbor would be strictly dealt with. India is well prepared to meet any exigency,†said Prasad
