President Ramnath Kovind arrived in the orange city today at 10 am for a day-long visit to Nagpur and Wardha districts. C H Vidyasagar Rao, Governor of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister and Mayor Nanda Jhichkar gave a warm welcome to the president at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport.
President Kovind is scheduled to attend a local program in Wardha district today. In Wardha, he will also visit Bapu Kuti at Sewagram Ashram.
Kovind will also grace the golden jubilee ceremony of MGIMS. C H Vidyasagar Rao and CM Fadnavis will also be present on the occasion.
At 1.30 pm, Kovin will reach Raj Bhavan, Nagpur, where he will have reserved time till 3.30 pm. At 4 pm, he will depart for Mumbai from the airport by the IAF Boeing Business Jet.
At 4 pm, Rao will leave for Mumbai along with the President, states a release.
