Water stock in the reservoirs is increasing due to good rainfall in the last few days. By August 16, the large reservoirs in the division were 35.20 percent full. Among large reservoirs, Asolamendha reservoir in Chandrapur, Dina reservoir in Gadchiroli and Pothra reservoir in Wardha are hundred percent full.
There are 18 large reservoirs in Nagpur Division and its combined storage capacity is 3553.49 MCFt and by August 16 it has 1250.72 MCFt water or 35.20 percent. Among other reservoirs, Nagpur district’s Totladoha 2.32 percent, Kamptee Khaire 27.90 percent, Ramtek 16.12 percent, Lower Nand 68.68 percent, Vadgaon 76.61 percent, Gondiya district’s Itiadoh 75.85 percent, Sirpur 48.44 percent, Pujari Tola 75.76 percent, Kalisarar 47.46 percent, Dhapewada barrage stage two 21.38 percent, Wardha district’s Bor 28.85 percent, Dham 73.08 percent, Lower Wardha 36.49 percent, Bhandara district’s Gosekhurd 46.57 percent full.
Medium lakes 62.76 percent full Compared to large projects, the medium projects are 62.76 percent full. There is a total of 40 medium projects in the Division with a combined capacity of 537.58 MCFC. By August 16, the storage was 337.40 MCFt or 62.76 percent.
