Shiekh becomes the second player to enter the quarter-final of the tournament
A 5-frame pre-quarters match was played between Shabbi Sheikh and Manoj Tabhane on Tuesday at Aditya Diddee Memorial CP Club Snooker Open Tournament.
Three-hour long match concluded with Sheikh defeating Tabhane by 3-2. With this victory, Sheikh became the second player to enter the quarter-final of the tournament. Tabhane won the first frame 33-58 while Sheikh gave an outstanding performance in the second and third frames (68-54 and 66-31).
However, Tabhane, did a comeback in the fourth frame and scored 28-76 equalling the score 2-2. In the final and fifth frame but Sheikh won the last frame 65-44, confirming his place in the quarter-finals.
In another match, Shubham Bokade triumphed over Tarun Mohta in three frames 2-1 (80-21, 36-55, 87-37). In a lop-sided encounter, Talib Ahmed effortlessly defeated Kapil Hirani in straight frames 85- 20, 69-40.
