Preparation of the Shri Krishna Janmashtami a signature event of ISKCON is in full swing at Sri Sri radha Gopinath Temple of ISKCON situated in the Empress mall campus near Gandhi sagar in Nagpur.Pandals and shamianas are erected and beautiful flower decorations are under way for the grand celebration. Also devotees of ISKCON will be celebrating the 123rd birth anniversary of A.C Bhakti Vedanta Swami Srila Prabhupad the founder acharya of ISKCON.
This year ISKCON devotees have organised various devotional cultural presentation like dramas, plays, dance and kirtans. Radha kund and Shyam Kund a fantastic play on the past times of Radha and Krishna will be presented by the devotees of ISKCON girls youth forum. Another devotional play called Shakshi Gopal will be presented. Adharam Madhuram a classical dance in Kathak Form shall be rendered by devotees of ISKCON. A dance by the student kids of pralhad School is also to be presented.
Lastly the signature “Hare krishna hare Krishna Krishna Krishna hare Hare, hare Rama hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare”, the devine kirtan of this mahamantra in soulfull voice will be sung for the pleasure of the Lord and its devotees. His Grace gaur Sundar das the temple president of ISKCON Nagpur said that this year 1008 numbers preperation of bhog delicacy’s will be offered to the Lord.
On 24th August arrangements of whole day kirtan will be done by various devotees at the temple so that all the visiting devotees who comes to take darshan of the Lord can hear the divine soulful kirtan on this auspicious day. Special wardrobe has been ordered for the deities which are designed and stitched at Vrindavan in UP.
Just before the midnight Gaur Sundar Das will give a discourse from Shrimad Bhagvatam about the past times on the appareance of “Shri Krishna” The spiritual Personality of Godhead and thereafter at the midnight among the ecstatic kirtan of the mahamantra teh maha aarti shall be performed and every one shall be served mahaprasad thereafter.
ISKCON celebrating the 123rd vyas puja of its Founder Acarya A C Bhakti Vedanta Swami Srila Prabhupad on the morning of 25th August. The “Vyas Puja Book” an yearly edition will be offerd to srila prabhupad, On this occasion vaishnav Bhajans will be rendered, abhishek will be performed by devotees an dpast times of Srila Prabhupad shall de discoursed by temple president Gaur Sundar Das who is also disciple of Srila Prabhupad. Arrangement so mahaprasad is done for devotees at 12 noon.
On the eve of August 25, 2019 “NANDOTSAV” festival is been organised for all the ISKCON life patrons and donors. Devotees have planned a Bhajan Sandhya too on this occasion.
