Aastha Turankar and Ansh Dhanvi emerged champion in the girls and boys sections respectively in the Inter-School Under-14 Chess Tournament organized by DSO in association with Nagpur District Chess Association at Taluka Krida Sankul, North Nagpur, Ahuja Nagar, Jaripatka.
The top five players for each category will represent Nagpur district NMC in forthcoming divisional competition.
In the girl’s section, Aastha Turankar of  BVM Trimurti Nagar won the title with 4.5 points. She was followed by Sri Rashmika  (BVM, Trimurti Nagar ) for second place with four points. Rashi Wairagade (BVM) secured third place. Avanti Junghare (Somalwar Nikalas 3.5) and Yashika  Chandankhede (CPS Dabha 3.5) were others who have been qualified for the divisional tournament.
In the boy’s section, Dhanvij, a student of Narayana Vidyalayam, Â triumphed with 6.5 points. Siddhant Gawai of St Vincent Pallotti emerged runners-up with six points. DPS Dabha student Himanshu Jethwani secured third place with 5.5 points. Dishank Bjaj (Narayana0 and Aarav Dharmik (CPS Katol Road) have also qualified for the divisional meet.

Boys: 1 Dhanvij Ansh (Narayana Vidyalayam 6.5), 2. Gawai Siddhant (St. Vincent Pallotti 6), 3 Himanshu Jethwani (CPS, Dabha 5.5), 4. Dishank Sachin Bajaj (Narayana Vidyalayam 5.5), 5. Aarav Ajit Dharmik (CPS, Katol road 5.5), 6. Prerak Jayant Darvekar (BVM, Trimurti Nagar 5), 7. Shinde Rujul (Somalwar 5), 8. Chhabda Soham (CPS Dabha 5), 9. Kulkarni Nilay (Narayana Vidyalayam 5), 10 Bodkhe Aditya (Narayana Vidyalayam 4.5).
