Despite the electorate voting for change in the previous elections, the present Devendra Fadnavis led BJP-Shiv Sena Govt has been a colossal failure- on all fronts. Maharashtra, once known to be to a progressive state, is today plagued with large-scale drought, floods, farmer suicides, agrarian distress, rising unemployment, failing law and order, rising crime, widespread corruption, bureaucratic inertia, lack of service delivery, economic slowdown and the near-collapse of public education.
Far from holding the govt accountable and ensuring some respite for the suffering citizenry, the opposition with it’s elected representatives is in a disarray and has failed to its basic constitutional duty.
The Aam Admi Party, born out of a mass anti-corruption movement has demonstrated through its work by the Arvind Kejriwal Delhi Govt, that clean politics and a new political culture can deliver and set new records of good governance. Our revolutionary work in providing quality education, healthcare, cheapest electricity in the country, potable water for all and world-class public infrastructure has received accolades far and wide, across the spectrum.
With a view to provide the people with a viable alternative and be the people’s voice in speaking truth to power, the Aam Aadmi Party has decided to contests the upcoming Vidhan Sabha polls in Maharashtra.
For the purposes of the election, a campaign committee has been announced, comprising of the following members- Convenor – Ranga Rachure; Co-Convenor – Kishore Mandhyan; Secretary – Dhananjay Shinde; Treasurer – Jagjit Singh; Members – Preeti Sharma Menon; Devendra Wankhade; Kusumakar Kaushik; Ajinkya Shinde; Dr. Sunil Gavit; Mukund Kirdat; Sandeep Desai. The above committee will oversee the due process, for the upcoming election.
