Centre Point School (CPS), Katol Road girls and BR Mundle boys triumphed in the DSO Under-14 Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament on Wednesday.
While BR Mundle defeated CPS Dabha, CPS Katol Road girls got the better of CPS Dabha in the final, played at Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur.
CPS Dabha girls defeated their Katol Road counterparts 3-0 in the girls final. Jennifer Verghese gave a perfect start to CPS Katol Road with an easy 11-2, 11-2, 11-2 victory over Avani Dhawankar. Bhakti Gelani faced some resistance from Ananya Panchmatiya but wrapped the match in straight 11-5, 13-11, 11-2 games. Shaurya Warambhe lost one game to Sanskruti but kept her composure in rest of the games as CPS Katol Road won the title in style.
In the boys final, Anagh Bhondwe gave winning start to Mundle boys recording a straight games victory 11-6, 11-7, 11-4 over Raghav Sharma. Aaditya Karandikar made it 2-0 defeating 11-2, 11-5, 11-4 Harman Kambhoj in a one-sided match. However, Manas Rohera brought CPS Dabha back in the match with a fighting 10-12, 11-9, 11-6 victory over Om Bhandarkar. In the next single, the score was levelled (2-2) when Aaditya Karandikar lost Raghav Sharma 7-11, 12-14, 7-11.
In the decider Anagh kept his cool and defeated Harman 11-5, 11-1, 11-4 in his reverse singles to seal the title.
