Indian Space Research Organization has launched the prestigious Chandrayan-2, on 22nd July 2019. The Vikram Lander will land on the moon on 7th Sep. 2019 and deliver the Pragyan rover on the moon’s surface for scientific exploration.
To celebrate this historic event Raman Science center is organizing special programmes for the students on 7th Sep. 2019.
- Final Round of Inter School ‘Moon & Chandrayan’ Quiz at 11.00 am: Selected FOUR teams out of 38 schools participated in the Written Elimination Round on 4th September will participate and compete in the game.
- Inauguration of Pragyan Rover Model at 12.00 noon: Rover model a real-size replica of Prgyan Rover fabricated at Raman Science Centre will be inaugurated and be demonstrated to visitors during the special show in Science on a Sphere facility at the center. Dr. Madhukar Apte, Former Head, Dept. of Physics, SFS college Nagpur will inaugurate the model.
- Popular Science Lecture on ‘Chandrayan-2: India’s Achievement in Space Technology’ at 12.15 PM Popular Science Lecture on ‘Chandrayan-2: India’s Achievement in Space Technology’ will be delivered by Dr. Bharat Bhushan Joshi, Principal, Cummins College of Engineering Nagpur
- Valediction and Prize distribution Prizes and Certificates will be awarded to the winners of Interschool Moon & Chandrayan Quiz, Sit & Draw Competition held on 4th Sep. and Elocution Competition held on 6th Sep 2019. We urge people of Nagpur to participate in the celebration of India’s historic achievement.
