Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister, paid a visit to the city on Saturday evening. He visited various Ganeshotsav pandals and also accepted cheques of contributions made by Commissionerate of Police, Nagpur city, and MIHAN India Limited (MIL) towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay, Commissioner of Police, handed over cheque of Rs 53,35,604/-to the Chief Minister as a contribution towards CMRF whereas Suresh Kakani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) handed over cheque of Rs 25 lakh to Fadnavis. He handed over another cheque of Rs 1,28,500/-of the amount collected by MIL officials, to CM. Ashray Utsav Samiti handed over cheque of Rs 31,000/-to Fadnavis as a contribution towards CMRF
Earlier, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Guardian Minister; Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Divisional Commissioner; Ashwin Mudgal, District Collector; Abhijit Bangar, Municipal Commissioner; Sheetal Ugale, Chairperson of Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority; welcomed Fadnavis on his arrival at Nagpur airport.
During his visit Fadnavis visited various Ganeshotsav pandals in city and also participated in the ‘aarti’ at some places.. Sandip Joshi, Chairman of Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation; Avinash Thakre, Vishakha Mohod, Pankaj Thorat, Mozarkar accompanied Fadnavis.
