Every citizen of the state should get his/her right. The government issued an order to get permanent holdings registered before the encroachment. The government requested the court to lease the encroachments on shrub forests. The same route is now open and such slum dwellers will also get registered permanent leases, informed Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister of State for Energy and Guardian Minister of Nagpur district during a programme organised at Agrasen Bhavan, Ravinagar Chowk on Wednesday.
On behalf of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation and the District Collector’s Office, a programme for the distribution of permanent strips to slum dwellers of Mariam Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Vishwas Nagar, Â Futala, Maratoli was organised.
Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Collector Ashwin Mudgal, Municipal Corporation Vice President Varsha Thackeray, Senior Councilor Sunil Agarwal, Chairman of Taxation Committee Sandeep Jadhav, Women and Child Welfare Committee Chairman Sangeeta Girhe, former Mayor and Councilor, Municipal Corporator, Mayawala, Municipal Council, Dhote, Ujjwala Sharma, Corporator Sanjay Bangale and other dignitaries were prominently present at the occasion.
Speaking further, Chandrasekhar Bawankule said, Government schemes are for the people. Citizens want to benefit from it. However, many do not know about these schemes. For this, corporators and political party workers constantly inform the citizens and try to benefit the citizen.
MLA Sudhakar Kohle and all the councilors of West Nagpur worked hard to get registered permanent leases. It has been fruitful. Even further, the government will always be ready to serve its citizens, Bawankule said.
Mayor Nanda Jichkar also highlighted the development works of the city. Nagpur Municipal Corporation is always keen to facilitate the citizens. She appealed that citizens should also participate in the development of the city.
Subsequently, on behalf of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation and the District Collector’s Office, the allotment of registered permanent leases to the beneficiaries of the locality was made. Â The leasing program was conducted by Nodal Officer Milind Meshram. The citizens of West Nagpur Assembly constituency were present in large numbers in the program.
