Centre Point School (CPS) Wardhmannagar overcame St John’s High School 1-0 to win Inter-School Under-17 Football Tournament organized by DSO at Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur ground here on Friday. In the 18th minute, Dev Amesar scored an all-important goal for CPS in the 18th minute.
In the under-14 category, CPS Dabha thrashed St Xavier’s 4-0 in a one-sided affair. Thanks to Gagan Asini who scored a brace in 8th and 23rd minutes. He was well supported by D Patnaik (10th min) and Suhal Shah (21st min).
St John’s defeated Sandipani School 1-0. Nivesh Sakhare scored the winning goal in the 13th minute. MB Convent defeated Dinanath 1-0 via tie-breaker. Irfan Ansari scored the goal for MB Convent.
Guruharikishan Public School entered the second-round defeating Chanda Devi Saraf (CDS) School 1-0. Mayank Pantawane fashioned the victory by striking in the 15th minute.
Riding on Jugraj’s Singh’s goal BVM Civil Lines knocked our Haji Abdul Majeed School 1-0. Jugraj netted the goal in the 8th minute.
Husamiah School boys blanked Anjuman English School 1-0. Mohammad Farhan scored all two goals in the 11th and 23rd minutes. Narayana Vidylayam overcame Mahatma Gandhi School 3-1 in a penalty shootout. The score was nil during the regulation time. In tie-breaker, Vansh Jaiswal, Sarthak and Amogh perfectly scored the goals for Narayana. For Mahatma Gandhi, only Aryash Sahare succeeded in scoring the goal.
