Mayor Nanda Jichkar, on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given a green signal to a project named “Tree in Paradise†under the initiative of Corporator Harish Dikondawar of Ward-3A, at Nandanvan. The project focuses on tree plantation, plastic-free campaign, and cleanliness drive.
At this programme, mayor said that such initiatives need to be implemented to make people understand the significance of cleanliness and the concept of clean and beautiful India. Mayor said that there is a huge need for public awareness in order to make our city clean and beautiful. She added that the initiative taken by corporator Harish Dikondawar was praiseworthy and he would be given the leadership of the campaign to implement the project. In the coming days, strict action will be taken against those who use plastic, said Mayor.
Councilor Harish Dikondawar, corporator Divya Dhurde, Mr. Naik, Mr. Nkhate, Bandu Deshkar, and others were present on the occasion. The citizens of Nagpur and school students were present on the occasion.
