The residents of Indian Cooperative society which is situated near Saraswati Lawn, Nara are facing issues over the hygiene of the area. It is seen that a sewer line in the housing society has been blocked due to heavy rains and the filth from the sewage is being spread all over the area. The flooded water has entered the empty plots and is also flowing on roads of the area.
A pungent odour has been spread near the house premises of this society; it has even become difficult to walk on the street because of this pathetic condition.
A resident of Indian Cooperative society, Amit Prasad has lodged a written complain to Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Mangalwari zone in the month of August and has even met Junior Engineer, Nehare, But no actions were taken in regard to this. NMC has ignored the complaint saying that the area comes under Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT)
Senior citizens of this area and children are becoming a target of the water-borne disease because of the damaged sewer line and the area has been infested by mosquitoes.
