Recently the Office of Principal Director of Income-tax (Investigation) has resorted to the major steps to curb the use of black money in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Polls 2019.
Jay Raj Kalja, Principal Director of Income Tax (Investigation) Nagpur held a press conference at Office of Pr. Director of Income Tax (Investigation) Saraf Chambers on September 25.
He informed in the press that we are in the process of gathering data and intelligence and are keeping a close watch over the movement of cash, valuable items. If one fails to give necessary information on such items then strict actions will be taken against them under Income tax Laws.
In view of the serious situation, they have also set up a 24*7 control room at the office of Principal Director of Income-tax (Inv.). Different mode of communications has also been installed in the office to find out any information on the circulation of black money. Along with this 11 Quick response team and an Air Intelligence Unit has also been set up at Dr. Babasaheb Abmedkar International Airport.
Kalja also requested people support this move and asked them to inform the investigation cell through toll-free number 1800-233-3785, a WhatsApp number 9403391664 to share location, pictures and 24*7 working FAX with number 0712-2525844.
The Election commission of India has requisitioned the service of Investigation Directorates of Income-tax to curb the use of black money in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls and these steps will help in fighting to evade the use of black money.
Maharashtra Assembly Poll 2019 will be held on October 21 in a single phase across the state. The counting of votes will be done on October 24. In Maharashtra, the election will be fought for 288 seats and the Model Code of Conduct will end on November 9
