During the rush hours in the city, Baidanath Square today saw a major hype in the traffic jams. It was noticed that no traffic cop was deployed for the duty at the square and the jam lasted for at least five hours. The traffic was seen moving slowly and the road was totally packed for the four-wheeler vehicles.
The vehicles were seen stuck in a line that had a stretch of around one km. Not just Baidanath Square but around the city many areas went through the same situation. The main reason could be the traffic signal going dead as the heavy showers without warning had an adverse effect. Many areas saw a power cut and even the electricity on the streets were shut down. But the situation at the above-mentioned square was quite different. The signals were fully functioning and even the area had less rainfall, compared to others. It was seen that each side of the street was in a rush and in an attempt to jump the signal they just blocked the road and the whole square.
Finally, to make a way out of the jam-packed square, the vehicle owners started crisscrossing each other and made the jam worse.
