After the down fall of the famous travel company Thomas Cook, another British tour operator Cox and Kings have now fallen into an unbearable debt.
Established in 1758, Cox and Kings has headquarter in Mumbai with offices in Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahemdabad, Kochi, Hyderabad, Pune, Goa, Nagpur and Jaipur.
Cox and Kings which had borrowed money from several banks to keep the company from sinking has failed to move themselves out of the debts and has turned out to be bankrupt.
The company had closed its Australia and New Zealand operations in September and was also struggling to book new clients in India. Many of the employees have also complained that their salaries were due from past few months.
According to the sources the company had stopped all the operations and bookings as well. The branch in Nagpur has also been shut down without any prior notice due to which employees of company had to suffer as the company failed to pay 3 months’ salary to their employees.
