Vidarbha region has great potential for exports of goods. To create awareness and to promote enterprises from Vidarbha for exporting their goods, MSME-Development Institute, Govt. Of India, Ministry of MSME organized Industrial Motivation Campaign for export promotion jointly with Nagpur First Foundation on dated 10 th October, 2019 at MSME-DI, Nagpur.
P.M.Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI Nagpur, presided over the Inaugural session. Dilip Jha, Director, M/s Glocalasia Group, Shri Rajesh Desurkar, Branch Manager, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC) Ltd, Nagpur and Shri V.R.Sirsath, Dy.Director, MSME-DI, Nagpur were the other dignitaries on the dais.
P.M.Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI, Nagpur explained in brief the objective behind organizing the programme. As export procedure is very tedious, it is very essential to organize such programmes on export management which will create more awareness on export promotion and also entrepreneurs will get acquainted with the new schemes and strategies of the Govt. for promoting exports from MSMEs. He said that Export Facilitation Cell is set up all over India to give handholding support to the MSME exporters. Similarly all over India SEZs will be captured to promote MSMEs and exports through Cluster development programme. He said MSME-DI office want to promote maximum MSMEs from Vidarbha.
Speaking from the dais Rajesh Desurkar, Branch Manager, ECGC Ltd, appreciated the efforts taken by MSME-DI Nagpur in organizing such type of awareness programme which will be immensely beneficial to the entrepreneurs. He briefed about the role and policies of ECGC and said that ECGC provides a range of credit risk insurance cover to exporters against loss in export of goods and services, offers export credit insurance covers to banks and financial institutions to enable exporters to obtain better facility and also provides overseas investment to Indian companies investing in joint ventures abroad in the form of equity or loan.
Aniket Jha, Joint Secretary, Nagpur First Foundation briefed about his organization which was set up in 2006 is a volunteer driven non Government organization primarily driven by NRIs having links with Nagpur along with key stakeholders of Nagpur. The goal is to make Nagpur a global city by creating a new global development platform for individuals, organizations and administrators of Nagpur city to realize potential of becoming a globally recognized city for the varied resources, central positioning and unique value propositions.
Rameshwar Borikar, Asstt. DGFT, O/o Jt.Director General of Foreign Trade, Nagpur during technical session briefed about the organization which is essentially involved in the regulation and promotion of foreign trade through regulation. He explained the export promotion schemes such as MIES, SIES, and special benefits to MSMEs also.
During technical session, Director of Global Logistic Pvt. Ltd, Abhishek Jha, explained the essential procedures for performing exports. He explored the export opportunities and trade business potentials also. He also shared his export business experience with the participants.
During the technical session, K.B.Irpate, Asstt.Director and co-ordinator of the programme briefed about the various export promotional schemes of Ministry of MSME including International co-operation scheme and also informed more than 25 international trade fairs had been identified by MSME-Development Organization and appealed to MSMEs to participate in those International Trade fairs so that they can avail the subsidy under International Co-operation scheme. At the end Irpate, proposed the vote of thanks to the dignitaries and the participants.
