Pro Health Foundation, Miles N Milllers Endurance Sports Academy and  Maharashtra Police are jointly organizing Tiger Marathon on November 3 at Police Gymkhana (joggers street).
Addressing media persons Dr Amit Samarth of Pro Health Foundation said the event will be organised in various categories including 21 km half marathon for above 18 years, 10 km for above 18 years, 5 km for 14 to 18 years, 3 km for under-14 and 5 and 3 km fun race.
The race will begin at Police  Gymkhana at and will conclude at the same spot. The 21 km and 10 km events  will be flagged off at 5.45 a.m. followed by 5 km and 3 km races at 6.30 am. The participants have been asked to collect their T-shirts on November 2 from the venue from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Spot registration will be available at the same venue on November 2.
Total prize money for the event is Rs 2.75 lakh. Dr Samarth said around 500 policemen are also participating in the race. DCP (crime) Gajanan Rajmane will be the main attraction of the event.
Dr Samarth said from now onwards Tiger Marathon will be an annual feature. The main objective behind the race is to promote world class sporting events in the city make Nagpur a sports destination in endurance sports like running, cycling and triathlon and also showcase Nagpur as the Tiger Capital.
