National athlete Nagraj Khursane and Tejaswini Lambkan triumphed in 21-km half marathon in 18 to 35 male and female categories respectively in the Tiger Marathon that was jointly organised by Pro HEALTH Foundation and Miles N Millers Endurance sports Academy in association with Maharashtra Police on Sunday.
The event was recognised by Nagpur District Athletic Association. Khursane clocked 1.09.17 hours to achieve the first place. He was followed by Vikesh Shende (1:09:50), Devendra Chiklonde (1:10:00) for the second and third place respectively.
In the women section, Tejaswini Lambkane (1:27:26), Prachi Godbole (1:30:21), Nikita Bhubre (1:37:44), Dr Amrusha Chouksey (2:46:14) finished first to third place respectively.
Over 2000 runners from age categories participated in the event. Police personnel including DCP Crime Gajanan Rajmane and others also ran at Tiger Marathon.
The event was flagged off and attended by principal Conservator, Forest Department Nitin Kakodkar, Director Finance of MOIL Rakesh Tumane, CEO, Smart City Project Nagpur Ramnath Sonawane, Regional Manager, Johnsons Lift Pvt Ltd Sudheer Ghike, Director, Department of Physical Education, of RTM Nagpur University Dr Sharad Suryawanshi and, Director, KRIMS Hospital Sameer Arbat.
