As we know Nagpur city is going to host the cricket T20 match and definitely there will be huge traffic mess in the roads. During cricket match traffic jams have become the regular features on this road. And to control the traffic problems during the day of the T20 match, city Police have come up with the solution that would minimize traffic chaos. As per information, the ongoing work of Khapri Road over Bridge (RoB) has narrowed the road near it and it has resulted in heavy traffic in this are area and commuters are facing lot of problems.
To resolve the traffic chaos, city police officers under the leadership of Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyaya, visited the road till Jamtha to monitor the situation and chalk out the measures to be taken to smoothen the traffic on the match day.
Earlier also during one day cricket matches hosted in city, the roads were experienced heavy traffic. And proper planning helped to ease the traffic. This time one peculiar problem is being faced by the commuters as they are using one single road to and from Wardha. The single road near Khapri will be kept open only for the commuters coming to Nagpur. Chinmay Pandit, Deputy Commissioner of Police has stated that Right now traffic is moving on one road where one divider has divided traffic in two parts for the commuters going to Wardha and those coming towards Nagpur. During the end of the match, they will keep both ways only for the vehicles coming to Nagpur. And the people can use other alternative road that goes towards Besa and other areas. He also added that between some time intervals they may stop traffic for 10-15 minutes if needed. And police personnel will be deployed at every necessary point to monitor traffic and to check any commotion.
As per information, the T20 match between India and Bangladesh at VCA Jamtha Stadium in scheduled on November 10.
