The travel time between Sitabuldi to Khapri by Metro train will be reduced soon. Now the railway board has given permission to run the subway at 80 km per hour. Certificate in this regard has been provided by Railway Board to Maha Metro Nagpur. With this certificate, Nagpurkar’s demand to reduce the travel time between these two stations will now be fulfilled.
In this connection, the Research Design and Standard Organization (RDSO) conducted an oscillation test a few days ago. Under the test, about 4,000 bags of sand were placed in the subway car weighing 970 passengers. The combined weight of these sacks weighs 63 tonnes. The test was conducted on the Sitabuldi -Khapri route.
For this test, brackets were performed on DMC-A First Bogie, TC First Bogie and DMC-B First Bogie, as well as the speed sensor and control systems were installed. The RDSO team had installed sensors in various parts of the vehicle, which was collected from this information.
Standards such as facilities for passengers, ridership index, emergency brake system were also tested. Different tests were conducted by the RDSO to create a normal and rainy environment under all these criteria.
A detailed report of this was then prepared and sent to the Railway Board which received the green flag from the Railway Board and after the CMRS test, a maximum speed of 80 km / h will be seen on the subway shortly.
