Nagpur has been included in the second round of the Central Government’s Smart Cities Mission and at the same time Nagpur has maintained its position in the list of 100 cities. Under the area of ​​development, road works have begun on 1730 acres of land in Pardi, Bharatwada, Punapur, and Bhandewadi areas of eastern Nagpur and the affected people are being compensated at the rate of redirection of their affected income due to the roads.
The NSSCDCL has been compensated by those beneficiaries’ accounts and their share of income has been deducted. The road near Bhavani Mata Temple is completely disrupted by 7 properties, of which 6 have been demolished and the residents have gone to live in a rented house. Their rent is paid by the Smart City Association, 60% of their original plot of land is being paid at the present rate of redemption at the time of construction of such a new plot of land and the construction of their original house area.
Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation is pursuing a rehabilitation policy and the total amount will be deposited directly to the beneficiary’s bank in three installments. In the first installment, taxpayer will be paid after submitting a Rs. 100 notarized consent letter, the second installment is given immediately after breaking the barrier of income and the third installment after submitting the clear title document of the land.
