The price of petrol  once again creating headlines as for the past seven to eight days, the fuel price is escalating every passing day which in its real sense troubling the consumers. As per information, On November 13, petrol was at a level of Rs 79.65 per litre. But in a span of seven days, it jumped to Rs 80.36 per litre mark (on Tuesday). Though petrol price has gained only 71 paisa per litre in last one week, it has crossed the Rs 80 per litre mark. On the other hand, diesel has maintained its price level during the last eight days.
On November 13, it was at Rs 69.64 per litre mark which came down to Rs 69.63 per litre on Tuesday. In the meanwhile, experts said that the impact of raising crude oil prices in the international market has started reflecting on fuel prices in domestic markets. Global oil prices are flying high because of various reasons; they said adding that it is very difficult to predict the fuel prices for coming days. It is important to note that the Government had hiked excise duty and road and infrastructure cess on petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre each in July.
