Recently the Indian Institute of Interior Design (IIID) Nagpur Regional Chapter (NRC) has conducted its installation for the term 2019-2021. During the installation programme, previous Chairperson Prarthana Nangia has officially handed over the portfolio to newly elected Chairman Bhushan Jeswani and Seema Agrawal, as Honorary Secretary in the presence of guest speaker designer Dipen Gada, Sunil Degwekar, Dr Pooja Pathak, Mahesh Mokha, Trilok Thakre, and other fraternity members. The installation ceremony was carried forward by Chairman Bhushan Jeswani by announcing his new team comprising immediate Past Chairperson Prarthana Nangia, Arundhati Sathe as Chairperson-Elect, Seema Agrawal as Honourary Secretary, Kapil Patel as Vice chairman  (Trade), Himanshu Thakkar as Treasurer, Harshal Charde as Joint Honourary Secretary, Savita Mokha, Aarti Shahane, Dilip Hinge, Aniket Khodwe, and Krishna Poddar as committee members. As a new concept developed by national President Jabeen Zacharias, a sub-committee was also introduced including Abhilasha Sharma, Tripti Agrawal, Rakhi Bhatia, Kirti Deshmukh, Mandhar Bodke, Roshan Waghe, Jaiprakash Sharma, Akbar Malik, Yogesh Balpande, Dinesh Bhojwani, Jawahar Tidke, and Rupesh Vora. The event witnessed a mesmerizing wonderful presentation titled‘SAHAJ’ by Vadodara based designer Dipen Gada, owner of renowned firm DGA, which is crowned by many national and international awards for the mammoth projects which reflects height of creativity and amazing designing with consideration to natural habitat and sustainable architecture.
The projects chosen for the audio-visual presentation clearly describe the in-depth knowledge and sense of imbibing various structural, architectural and interior designing details altogether leading to cohesive sustainable environment-friendly habitats. Dipen Gada’s work includes commercial, industrial, residential and retail. Directory of IIID NRC was unveiled by Dipen Gada. IIID NRC hosted memento designing competition whose winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes sponsored by Savita Mokha at the hands of jury members Asad Firdosy and Mukul Kulkarni. The winners were Seemon Tadas, Roshni Multani, and Vanshika Nahta amongst others. Two consolation prizes were also bagged by LAD College. Disha Chugani and Asiya Mannan conducted the proceedings. Honorary Secretary IIID NRC Seema Agrawal extended a vote of thanks.
