The use of black films on the car windows are seeming increased in the city which is creating a hurdle in the security of the citizens. These black films makes it difficult to see inside of the vehicle increasing the risk of crime in the city.
In order to reduce the use of black films on the car windows a special campaign was launched on Wednesday under the directive of Traffic DSP Chinmay Pandit. In this campaign police removed black films from the cars and action was taken under section 100 (2) of the Motor Vehicles Act on 100 vehicles.
Senior Police inspector Bhandarkar informed that they have also recovered pending challan through app from few vehicles which had challan issued in Pune-Mumbai for violating traffic rules.
In this action ASI Anna Tayde, Rajmohan Singh, Yogesh Bagade, Santosh Pandey and others were present.
