After end number of cleanliness drives, the mound of garbage has still appeared in various parts of the city. Recently the Nagpur Municipal Corporation has allocated two companies for garbage disposal in place of Kanak Resources Management Limited. However, the said companies have failed to meet the responsibilities which resulted in the heaps of garbage. Earlier Kanak Resources was doing garbage collection work but when its contract ended, the two companies have been entrusted with the garbage collection of the city. As per the information, the Kanak Resources contract has done the garbage collection till November 15.
However, new companies have failed in garbage collection work. As per the source, the garbage collection work from the zone 1 to zone 5 was given to AG Enviro while zone 6 to zone 10 was given to BVG Company. And there will be 25 transfer stations in the city. And after vehicle transfer, finally the garbage will be taken to Bhandewadi dumping yard. Due to the lack of proper planning it has become a difficult process and seems like an impossible mission.
