Round Table India (RTI) is an organization of non-political and non-sectarian young men between the age group of 18 and 40. The aim of the young men is to promote service, fellowship and goodwill in national and international affairs. Round Table India, the association, was formed in 1962 with just a membership of 100.
As a Part of Round Table India & Ladies Circle India Week, organised between the November 10 to 17, 4 Tables and 1 Circle of Nagpur came together and planned various activities across the cities covering multiple facets.
A health camp for Meditation and Yoga was organized on the November 10 for all our members conducted by renowned trainer Reet Rupani.
A blood donation camp was organised at Trillium Mall on the November 10 where 78 units of Blood was collected.
COMMUNITY SERVICE – On the November 13 a lunch was sponsored at the “Home for Aged and Handicappedâ€, Uthkhana, Medical Square, Nagpur. Lunch was served to 35 Aged and handicapped seniors along with 155 handicapped children studying in that facility.
In addition to this Grains and Confectionery items worth Rs. 10,000 was also donated to the residents.
TAARE ZAMEEN PAR – On the occasion of Children’s Day 125 kids from Vinayakrao Deshmukh School and Jr. College were taken on a visit to Raman Science Centre where they were introduced to the amazing work of Science.
SOCIAL AWARENESS – A workshop on “GOOD TOUCH BAD TOUCH†was organised on November 15 at the Maharashtra Adhyan School, North Ambazari Road for their students from class 2 to class 7. Dr. Farheen Rana, an expert in this field explained the concept of what is acceptable and what is not to the kids.
GO GREEN – A plantation drive was held on November 16 with the students of Vinayakrao Deshmukh School and Jr. College, where the team planted 100 trees. After the Plantation drive, there will be a drawing competition for 300 kids on topics like Environmental awareness, Swatch Bharat Abhiyan and Beti padhao Beti bachao. 500 students will also be given a stationery kit as a part of the event.
Round Table India & Ladies Circle India Week is celebrated across the country by all the chapters with an aim to spread awareness, happiness and the message of education to all who we can reach.
