Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.To spread the main objectives of the Constitution Sugat Jaycee is organising a Samvidhan Gaurav Yatra along with demands of forming smaller states including Vidarbha, social, political and educational development of the minorities, OBCs .The programme in Nagpur will be held at India Peace Centre, at 5 pm on November 26.
Employees and Pensioners Association of SC, ST, OBC and Minorities will also celebrating the Constitution Day at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, at 4.30 pm. Commissioner of Police Dr B K Upadhyay will inaugurate the celebrations. President of the Association Dr Madhuri Barsagde will preside over. GST Commissioner H R Bheemashankar will be the guests. Suresh Mane and Dr Saroj Aglave will be the main speakers.
They will speak on ‘Constitution, Present and Future’. India Peace Centre: India Peace centre has invited Prakash Meghe, TS Rawal and Vira Sathidar to speak on legal, political and Ambedkarian perspective of Indian Constitution. The programme will be held at the Centre at 5 pm. Karuna Sagar Bauddeshiya Sanstha: ‘Samvidhan Kranti’ a CD will be dedicated to public, during a function to be held at Sai Sabhagruha, Shankar Nagar, at 6.30 pm on November 26.
