City player Rajeshree Jaiswal stormed into the the singles semis in Gondwana Club- MOIL Above 35 Women’s Open Tennis Championship on Saturday. Apart from Jaiswal  Manisha Mehta of Ahmedabad, Aarti Ganesh of Bengaluru and Neelam Chopda of Indore entered the semis.
Barring Jaiswal’s quarterfinal clash, all the other matches were one sided affair. Jaiswal was challenged on every front by Mumbai’s Jyotsana Patel. In the quarters Rajeshree quelled the challenge of Jyotsna Patel of Mumbai 7-5.In doubles event, Jaiswal recorded a convincing win i. Partnering with Manisha Mehta, she got the better of the pair of Jyotsna Patel and Neelam Agrawal 6-0. In the second round, the duo of Jaiswal-Mehta sidelined Neha Shah and Aarti with the same margin. Earlier in singles pre-quarterfinals, two Nagpur players Bhakti Bhatanagar and Priyanka Singhania crashed out.
