The National Testing Agency (NTA) is releasing admit card of JEE Main 2020 on December 6, 2019, for the January exam. The hall ticket can be downloaded using application number and date of birth. Steps to download JEE Main Admit Card
The step-by-step procedure to download the admit card of JEE Main is given below:
- Visit the official website of JEE Main https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo/public/home.aspx
- Click on JEE Main 2020 Admit Card.
- There are two options to download the admit card either by using application number and password or through application number and date of birth.
- Click on any option to download JEE Main admit card.
- The procedure to download the admit card is given separately for both the options.
Using application number and password
Candidates will be able to download the admit card by using their application number and password by following the below-mentioned steps in order:
- Enter the application number and password allotted while registering for JEE Main.
- Type the security pin and click on Login.
- Click on “Download Admit Card†button given on the screen to download the JEE Main admit card.
- Download the admit card and take a printout of the same and keep it safe for future references.
Using application number and date of birth
Candidates will be able to download the admit card by using their application number and date of birth by following the below-mentioned steps in order:
- Visit the official website and Login by entering your application number and date of birth.
- Type the security pin and click on Login.
- Click on “Download Admit Card†button provided on the screen to download the JEE Main admit card.
- Download the admit card and take a printout of the same and keep it safe for future references.
Details mentioned on the JEE Main Admit Card
It is very important for candidates to check the details mentioned on the JEE Main admit card. The following details are printed on the JEE Main admit card 2020:
- Candidate’s name
- Father’s name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Category
- State of Eligibility
- Roll number
- Paper for which you are appearing for
- Application number
- Name and address of the exam center
- Timing of the examination
- Candidate’s photograph and Signature
Documents to carry with JEE Main Admit Card to exam centre
Candidates who are appearing for JEE Main are required to carry the following documents to the exam centre along with the admit card on the day of examination:
- Colored Passport-sized photograph (identical to the one used while filling the JEE Main application form)
- Valid photo ID such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, School ID/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Ration Card etc.
Exam day instructions
Candidates have to follow some instructions while appearing for JEE Main 2020. Check below:
- Candidates are advised to reach the exam hall at least two hours before the commencement of the examination.
- Applicants should bring all the important items which are required to be carried to the exam centre.
- Candidates are not allowed to bring any prohibited items along with them at the JEE exam centre.

The score obtained by candidates in JEE Main is acceptable for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and even to some of the private engineering and architecture programs. A cut-off will also be released for candidates who appear for JEE Main to qualify for JEE Advanced based on which admission will be granted to them in IITs.
