The first edition of “Orange City Literature Festival†has started from December 4. SGR Knowledge Foundation in association with G H Raisoni University is organizing the first Literature festival in the city from December 4 to 6 at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines Nagpur.
It is an initiative to involve people in the gathering of the intellectuals, which will give an insight for the attendees to contemplate, discuss on various topics in different languages, literature and life.
The objective of this event is to provide an enthralling experience to the people in the society and to involve eminent personalities from their field of expertise. The ideology behind the concept is to give a space and platform to new writers and resuscitate the literature that gives meaning to life. Â
The programme was inaugurated on December 4 and prominent personalities were presented on the occasion. Prabhu Chawla, Senior journalist, Indian Actor and Former member of Lok Sabha, Nitish Bharadwaj, Noted historian Balwant Moreshwar Purandare popularly known as Babasaheb Purandare a living legend in the Marathi literature of the history of Maharashtra was felicitated during the inauguration ceremony.
During this occasion a book was launched by the hands of organizing board member Dr. Rajan Welukar, Former Vice-Chancellor, Mumbai along with other delegates.
More than 60 speakers from various fields will be a part of this festival. Multiple sessions, Interviews, panel discussions, Book releases, Book reading, etc will be conducted during the literature extravaganza from morning till evening.
