An International Performing Arts Festival was organized at Sai Sabhagruha on 7 December. The program began with traditional lighting of lamp at the hands of dignitaries.
It was followed by Ghazals rendered by IAS officer Hari Om from Lucknow. Priyanka Abhyankar, a Kathak Guru along with her disciples from Nagpur presented Shiva Stuthi, Abhang sundara Te dhyan followed by Tandav Nritya. Tandav Nritya mesmerised the audience.
Shraddha Hirwade, a disciple of Guru Ratnam Janardhanan presented outstanding Bharatnatyam Performance. She commenced with a Krishna Kauthuvam composed by famous composer Madurai Muralidhara and went on to perform Bhakti Padam, a core item in Bharatnatyam. Draupadi Vastraharan was beautifully depicted by the dansuese with graceful and versatile Abhinaya.
