Sunday morning saw a blissful start for the little artists of Nagpur as they all came to take part in the biggest drawing contest of Central, “Late Irfan Hussain Memorial Inter School Drawing and Painting contest†held at ‘S F S School Old Boys’.
About 3,500 children participated in the event. The competition was conducted in three categories — Group-A for students of STD I-III, Group-B for students of Std IV to STD VII, and Group-C for students of STD VIII to STD X.
The topics for Group A, B, and C were Favorite Flower/Animal, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, and Cricket Match/Hill Station respectively. The First Prizes of Group A was given to Gouri Raju Akhre from Buty Public School, Second to Raina Sharmin Khan from Shri Gurugovind Singh School and Third Price to Atharva Karemore from Bhavans School.From Group B first prize was given to Matilda P Mathew from St. Vincent Paloti, Second to Vinamra Vinod Shelkar from New Apostolic English School, Third Prize to Shakya Shree Lautkar from St Joseph Convent School.
From Group C the first prize was given to Bhumija S Agarwal from Mount Carmel School Second Prize Atul R Singh from Motion Box Academy Third Prize to Rehansh Ramtekekar from Shri Rajendra High School. St Joseph Convent High School won the Rolling Trophy.
The competition was judged by Mistu Dey, Sandhya Pande, Sonali Ranshur and Ruhina Sheikh, Ravi Kamble and F.S. Khan.
Indian Dental Association Nagpur provided guidance to the participants on oral health and Colgate Palmolive distributed gift hampers. Shabana Bakery distributed refreshments to every participant. Steps Playschool and Leverage Group were other associates for the event.
