It has been reported that the auction for the sea plane that will fly from Khindsi dam in Ramtek and Irai dam in Chandrapur will be conducted at New Delhi, in the headquarters of Airports Authority of India (AAI) on December 10.And for this, Airport Development Corporation (MADC) will be leaving for Delhi on Monday.
As per information, the tender for Amravati airport that has been included in the ‘UDAN’ scheme will also be taken out.However, the government is keen on making air travel affordable for the common man, and the airlines are not providing any positive sign for buying required aircraft for it.
Under Regional Connectivity service (RCS), the airlines can use aircraft with maximum capacity of 80 passengers. Airline including Truejet, Alliance Air, IndiGo, Air Asia etc can be part of the scheme. And as per reports, Air India’s subsidiary Alliance Air is the biggest contender for the seaplane service.
