A delegation of Chamber of Associations of Maharashtra Industry & Trade (CAMIT) led by Dipen Agrawal, President met Dr. Nitin Raut, Cabinet Minister, and Government of Maharashtra. The delegation congratulated him on becoming Cabinet Minister in Maha Vikas Aghadi government and felicitated him with shawl, shriphal and flower bouquet.
Dipen Agrawal extending greetings on behalf of business community of the state said that CAMIT is confident that under his leadership there shall be all inclusive growth in State and the trade and industry hopefully will flourish. He also said to ensure that Vidarbha region in gets its fair share in development.
Dipen Agrawal also appraising Dr. Raut about the survival crisis faced by the small and marginal traders of the state due to unilateral exorbitant increase in rent by Municipal Corporations suggested to withdraw the controversial government resolution prescribing rent on ready reckoner basis, also direct the Corporations to accept then prevailing rent till such time the issue is amicably settled in the best interest of all concerned. He said that a committee be formed to address the issue with participation of all the stake holders.
Responding to the felicitation and suggestions Dr. Raut informed the delegation that he had a word with Hon’ble Chief Minister, Udhav ji Thackeray for a state level meeting with representatives of trade and industry for addressing their issues and achieving state growth rate above national average. He also assured the delegation to resolve the issue of unilateral rent increase by Corporations and give much needed respite to small and marginal traders.
Sanjay K. Agrawal, Ashok Ahuja, Dhiraj Maloo, Ashok Sanghvi, Ramkishore Kabra, Dilip Thakral, Madhusudan Agrawal and Amit Kothari were part of the delegation. Ashok Ahuja expressed gratitude towards Dr. Raut on behalf of trading community of state for the patient hearing and the eagerness to resolve the issues affecting the trade and industry.
