It has been reported that the Ambazari Biodiversity Park which was closed from November 28, after pug-marks of a leopard were found now will reopen for tourists from December 19.
As per information, the forest department has strengthened monitoring and patrolling in the area since then but till today the field staff team failed to get a direct sighting of the wild animal. Not a single camera trap has also captured picture of the leopard. The park will remain open from 6 am to 5.30 pm. The department charges Rs 10 as entry fee from a visitor to Ambazari Biodiversity Park. The department is planning to allow visitors free of cost.
Therefore, the department will organise a meeting with Joint Forest Management Committee (Urban area) to discuss the issue and a decision will be taken in this month. The forest department has also taken measures to prevent the fire due to dried grass.
