Dharampeth M. P. Deo Memorial Science College, Nagpur celebrated its golden jubilee this year. The inaugural function was organised in the college premises on January 1.
On this regards the Dharampeth Education Society Dharampeth M. P. Deo Memorial Science College, Nagpur, is hosting the Golden Jubilee Lecture Series in Science & Technology, commencing with a Maiden Lecture and Interface with Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar (Padma Shree and Maharashtra Bhushan Awardee), Chancellor, Nalanda University, Rajgir, Bihar, on December, 22 at 5:00 pm informed Principal, Dr Akhilesh Peshwe in a press conference held at press club on December 19.
Adv. Ulhas Aurangabadkar, President, Dharampeth Education Society, Nagpur will, preside over the function, Dharampeth Education Society Vice President, Sanjeev Deshpande, Secretary, Ratnakar Kekatpure and Principal, Dr Akhilesh Peshwe, Dharampeth M. P. Deo Memorial Science College, Nagpur, Dr Rajesh Pashine Dr Archna Kulkarni, Vinay Kashikar Vice Principal Junior will grace the occasion. The programme will also witness the presence of dignitaries, luminaries, academicians, renowned scientist, research scholars and students in science and technology.
It was inaugurated at the hands of Suresh alias Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Sarkaryawah, RSS. The college held Ved Vidnyan Exhibition on Scientific Insights and Interpretation of Vedic Literature on January 13 to 16, 2019. The program was inaugurated at the hands of P. P. Acharya Jitendranath Maharaj, Anjangaon Surji, Dist. Amravati. A special discourse was also held on the same topic in the gracious presence of Dr. Omprakash Pandey.
The college also held Exhibition on ‘Creating awareness and educating students about nuclear energy, it’s safe use, advantages and variety of applications’ in association with `13 habha Atomic Research Centre MARC on January 14 and 15.
The exhibition was inaugurated at the hands of the chief guest of the function Swami Savitanand, Surya Kanya Sadhna Kuteer, Tarsada, Surat. The Guest of Honour of the function was Dr. R. K. Singh, Chief, Interaction and Social Awareness, BARC, Mumbai. A lecture and an interactive session was organized on the second day in which Dr. S. J. Jambhulkar, BARC, Mumbai highlighted on role of scientific technology in crop improvement.
On January 16 the college in association with Government of Maharashtra had organised a ‘Job Fair’ in which more than 20 multinational companies had participated. The function was inaugurated at the hands of Rambhau Tupkari.
The college organised a seminar on January 17, on “Road map for graduate and post graduate studies in US and free education in Germany†by Mukul A. Chimote.
The Vocational Department of the college even organised a Vocational District level project exhibition Koushalyostav in association with Directorate of Vocational Education & Training Department, Government of Maharashtra on January 27 and 28 in college premises.
