It has been reported that the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway that will connect Vidarbha,Marathwada,North Maharashtra and 10 districts of Konkan directly and 14 other districts indirectly will be named after late Shiv Sena Supremo Balasaheb Thackeray.
As per information, the proposal was got a positive nod from state government and it also approved funds worth Rs.3500 crore for the project. The expressway would be named Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Samruddhi Expressway.
Home Minister Eknath Shinde in cabinet meeting raised the demand and it was approved by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. And a government resolution (GR) was released on Friday.
As per sources, in view of reducing the loan amount needed for the project the government has approved Rs.3500 crore for the project.Afterwards, they sanctioned the loan limit for the project Rs.28, 000 crore in which they have decided to take Rs.24, 500 crore.It is also learnt that to ease the financial burden of the project the government has also approved additional funds worth Rs.5000 crore for the project.
