It has been reported that  Dr Neelam Mishra, Pro-Vice Chancellor,Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University), Sawangi Meghe,Wardha ha sbeen appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) (Deemed to be University), Karad.
Her appointment was made by Dr Suresh Bhosale, Chancellor of that University. Before taking over as Pro-Chancellor,DrMishrawasthe Professor and Head of the Department of Physiology at GovernmentMedicalCollegeand Hospital, Nagpur.
Being the founder President of Vidarbha Physiology Association, she held the distinction of being the First Lady Pro-ViceChancellor of a University of Health Sciences in the State of Maharashtra. Dr Neelam Mishra has served on various authorities and bodies of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. She is the wife of Dr Vedprakash Mishra presently Pro-Chancellor of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University), Sawangi Meghe, Wardha. Dr Mishra has dedicated the significant recognition credited to her to the fond and respectful memories and blessings of her late father Shailendrakumar Dixit and late mother-in-law ‘Matoshree’ Shiv kumara Mishra.Her appointment is being hailed in a big way in the academic and medical fraternity all over Maharashtra.
