Tiger C1 resumes his journey after a short break at Ajanta Hills. The tiger has been travelling for days now, of which TLN has been continually reporting the kilometers covered by the sub adult tiger from Tipeshwar. It was noted by the forest department that the tiger while on move has covered an area of around 1500 km. The forest department said that the tiger is on the move in search of either a mate or of a new ruling area. The tiger being a male sub adult, it has got to have its own prey base and dominating field. So this journey might be for a dominating land. Also, just in time the winter has also hit our country so the tiger might also be search for a mate. Nothing is specified now, because of which the forest has got an eye on his continuous movements.
The tiger has passed through many villages, farms and human settlements in eight districts of Maharashtra and even Telangana. Luckily no man-animal conflict has surfaced till now but there have been few cases of C1 feeding on the cattle of the farmers.
