In the film, it has been shown that two couples, both having the surname ‘Batra’ opt for IVF assistance to have a child at a private clinic. However, the clinic accidentally interchanges the sperms, which leads to confusion.
Deepti (Kareena Kapoor Khan) and Varun Batra (Akshay Kumar) who are married and want to have a baby but after trying for years both decide to consult a fertility specialists where they are advised of IVF (in-vitro fertilization). Few days after the process the couple is informed that there has been a mix-up of the sperm with another couple with the same last name, Honey Batra (Daljit Dosanjh) Monika (Kiara Advani). After getting this news it is a complete clash between the two Batras.
